He is awarded with an annual award for science based on a series of published highest-ranked (Q1 and Q2) scientific papers in 2021, for which he significantly contributed to the expansion of knowledge with high application value, as well as to the development of the analysed topic in the field of social sciences, the field of kinesiology. His continuous scientific work is primarily focused on research in the field of biomechanics and gait analysis of children, the elderly and special populations (army and police). Professor Kasović is the winner of many awards and recognitions for his work, and among other things, he was declared the most productive scientist of the Faculty of Kinesiology of the University of Zagreb for 2020, 2021 and 2022. He also stands out for his work on scientific projects, and their results were successfully implemented in the new university course Gerontokinesiology. At the Faculty of Sports Studies of Masaryk University, he is also developing a research area dedicated to the load of school bags in elementary school children. In addition to the aforementioned scientific activities, he also works as a professional leader and supervisor of Ph.D. students.
Professor Kasović was presented with the award by Prof. Ph. D. Radovan Fuchs, Minister of Science and Education of the Republic of Croatia and Prof. Ph.D. Željko Reiner, Vice President of the Croatian Parliament, at the awarding ceremony on December 14, 2022, in the Croatian Parliament.
