International Week 2024
For the third time, we will welcome a number of international experts to our faculty, who will be giving lectures and practical sessions from November 18–22. Register for individual lessons and workshops here!
From 30 May 2024 to 4 June 2024, an LTT meeting (learning, teaching and training meeting) took place in Seville, Spain, as part of the Erasmus+ international project "Outdoor Adventure Education through Physical Education". The meeting was attended by academics Alena Skotáková and Pavlína Vaculíková and four students of the Master's programme UTV Emma Benýšková, Anežka Nárovcová, Hana Lehnertová and Matouš Jurča.
Four days full of various activities, when we developed our social-emotional skills through outdoor activities, discussions, and collaborations, all in tropical temperatures above 40°C, were unforgettable...
Our students did a lot of tasks - they prepared introductory familiarization activities, we cooked together in nature, we learned to give feedback and to think that by moving and being in nature we develop not only physical skills, but also cooperation, communication, relationships, empathy, we learn to solve problems, and most of all we have a great time.
We all agreed that the most useful part of the event was meeting students and teachers from different parts of Europe. We were able to compare our school systems, and approaches in other universities and we made new friendships that we can develop e.g. Erasmus stays both as teachers and students.
Everything we have learned, all the inspiration we have gained, will be developed by teachers in their classes and by students in their future dream professions. It makes sense to go to other countries, to get to know different cultures and become more respectful and experienced.
The students were incredibly fun to work with. We let them guide us and it was wonderful!
