Description This doctoral thesis research concerns with development of school subject history in schools such as today’s elementary school since 1918 to present. The development of the subject is analyzed by examining the basic curriculum, especially curriculum and teaching plans. There are briefly outlined theoretical and methodological starting points, defined basic concepts, summarized the current state of knowledge and solutions, outlines the research objectives, methods (including category system), stages of research and character data that research brings.
