Description Diagnostic competency should especially help teacher reflect individual needs of any pupil and cultivate inspiring climate of a class. It helps him to understand social relationships among pupils, then diagnose possible socialpathological features and work with pupils with special educational needs effectively. It also contributes to solve educational and disciplinary problems. The most significant and used diagnostic methods of a nowadays teacher are various forms of extrospection and interview.
