Description The paper deals with investigation aimed at understanding of artistic texts by Czech pupils and pupils foreigners. The test used is called cloze-test. Text for the cloze-test has been chosen from the popular book of Joan Rawling. The goal of research was to investigate relation between results in cloze-tests and pupils characteristics, i. e., their starting mother tongue.
