Description The microflora of the hypocrenal parts of ten creeks in the Javorníky and Moravskoslezské Beskydy were studied as a part of hydrobiological research focused on the influ-ence of forestry on water quality. Mostly species of clean, cold watercourses were found. Species with wide ecological valence occurred mainly in creeks with a catchment area affected by forest management. A special attention is devoted to cyanobacteria (incl. description and paintings).
