Description Problems of education of gifted and talented children is burning issue in these days. The necessity to devote to gifted children by special ways has been also mentioned in Framework Education Programme for Elementary Education. According to our provisional finding, educational methods of gifted children are only slowly promoted into School Education Programmes and school routine above all. In the contribution we indicate that theoreticaly is education of gifted children processed enough. Many theoretical pieces of knowledge in term of pedagogy and psychology are well accessible both wider public and especially professionals. The first part of our contribution is their brief summary. What can we say about concrete education of gifted children in practice at common elementary school? What about teachers? What are they estimations of their own abilities to identify gift (talent) of their pupils? How do teachers feel to be ready for the work with gifted children? What do teachers say about offer of additional education in this field? Are teachers interested in education of gifted children? The second part our contribution devotes to results which were obtained from an orientational research probe. This research probe was conducted at the turn of September and October this year.
