Description In 2009 it was using an anonymous interview asked 250 second-level students of three elementary schools in the South Moravian region. Were compared responses of respondents from urban and rural environment. The investigation revealed that pupils from the town of benevolence towards drugs is higher than for pupils from the village, but not in the classification by sex. In the town the children strongly the views of peers operating in the village is dominated by the media, schools and parents have addiction issues, unfortunately, only a minimal effect. Most of the pupils, depending on the alcohol and nicotine to think that this is a private matter of each person, if it poses a threat to their surroundings. The majority of respondents would also prohibit gaming machines and agrees to ban smoking in public places. The impetus for drug use is frequently considered curiosity, the impact of party or friends, escape from problems, the need to improve your mood and fight off depression. The biggest concern according to the sample are related to addiction, damage to health and loss of control. Addressed the children are aware of the dangers of drugs, tried to help in the case, if one of their loved ones had a problem. When meeting with the addict to them most fitting regret, and condemnation and fear. The dependence of a large part of the sample associated with disease or crime. The majority of respondents considers that cannabis legalization interest would not stumble on it, and that the current penalties for the manufacture, sale and possession of illegal drugs are low, and therefore should be increased.
