Description The analysis of the mythopoetics of The Wild Dug (1884) by Ibsen, The Sea Gull (1896) by Chekhov and The Blue Bird (1908) by Maeterlinck The anthropomorphic character of the ornithological symbols helps to penetrate deeper into the semantics and structure of these plays. In The Blue Bird the two models represented by Ibsen and Chekhov, the realistic and the symbolistic, merged together to a harmonic unit.
