| Description | The poetics of Russian poetry in comparison with modern art. The problems of ekhphrasis are demonstrated on the émigré painter Grigoryi Musatov. His early works, inspired by memories of his youth resemble symbolist poetry of A.Blok. Stenka Razin, painted by Musatov evokes verse epic of V. Khlebnikov written by cutting the words and verses in the style of cubistic art. |
