Description Article presents findings of survey research on current status of combative education in selected elementary schools in South Moravia. In the research participated 1088 probands. From the research results, that pupils have many experiences with combatives in their spare time both in formal and informal education. Pupils liked combative excercises, they are joyfull and pleasant for them. Youth reflect new trends in sport. They know many martial arts and combative sports. It is indiscutable need to prevent pupils from physical attacks. More then 67 % of pupils were injuried in the last year, thats why teaching of combatives, especially falling techniques, in school physical education is highly recommend. Most of teachers(85,7 %) use combative exercises in physical education for development of motor skills and psychical tolerance and experince with victory over the partner. Most exploited exercises are basic combatives and combative games, rarely falling techniques and selfdefence, combative sports not at all. Teachers know less combative sports and martial arts then their pupils. Most of teachers did not get various and systematically education in combatives during the study at the university.
