Description | The main objective of this study was to optimize the plasma treatment conditions to achieve the desired adhesion properties of the polyamide foils used as the casings for a meat product. Therefore, it has been necessary to carry out the treatment mainly of the inner side of PA foil, which is in direct contact with the meat mixture. For the study we utilize the diffuse coplanar surface barrier discharge (DCSBD) as a source of “cold” atmospheric pressure plasma housed in a roll-to-roll reactor for high-speed treatment of flexible material in a continuous regime. To demonstrate the efficiency of DCSBD plasma treatment PA foils were also treated by industrial corona roll-to-roll reactor. |
