Description Theoretical study is about the approaches used in art education for people with disabilities. The article describes the research method of induction and deduction. It evaluates the field of art and education as a key component of culture, having a significant influence on the quality of the life for people with special needs in our society. It is possible to find out that both these areas can be used to promote ideas of lifelong inclusive education. Interventions in education is affected of models which concept disability. The models reflect different approaches. Art therapy approach and approach presenting the impact of disability on social reality is compared with the presentation of artist’s identity with disability and his diversity. A specific environment like education centers and art studios offers an opportunity to develop a personality for people with disabilities.
