Description | Implementation of curricular reform in the context of school instruction is a complex process whose procedure is conditioned by various factors of material and non-material nature. In this respect, attitudes of teachers as key stakeholders of curricular changes play an essential role in this process and vary in relation to a concrete sociocultural context. Therefore, the paper aims to explore the state of the art of the issue of teachers' attitudes towards the curricular changes and their implementation. The main attention is paid to research studies which deal with teachers' attitudes towards curricular documents (planned curriculum) and towards implementation of curricular changes in practice (realized curriculum). The findings should especially help identify factors which can influence teachers' willingness to implement the curricular changes. Some perspectives and ways of further research into teachers' attitudes towards implementation of curricular reform at Czech lower secondary schools will be introduced by giving an example at the end of the paper. |
