Description The results of our presented research show that at the defined design of the tests, we can not demonstrate a significantly negative effect of static stretching on running economy (expressed as O2 consumption at a given running speed per unit of time), when applied immediately prior to performance, or conversely, a positive effect of dynamic stretching on the same parameter. Likewise, we found no relationship between the selected type of stretching and changes in the values of RER and HR.
