International Week 2024
For the third time, we will welcome a number of international experts to our faculty, who will be giving lectures and practical sessions from November 18–22. Register for individual lessons and workshops here!
On Saturday, June 18, we celebrated 20 since the Faculty of Sports Studies was founded on OPEN SPORT FESTIVAL. Together with our students, graduates, staff and the public, we spent the day engaging in various sports activities and meeting successful athletes.
For the celebrations, we were joined by our graduate Jiří Procházka, a UFC champion, kickboxer Tomáš Hron, and an Olympic medalist in biathlon Ondřej Moravec, who all gave speeches and met with fans during autograph signing.
Throughout the day, visitors had the opportunity to try various lessons and activities – for example self-defense, pilates, nordic walking, yoga, salsa, badminton or table tennis. They could also try out LEVIS e-bikes and attend a workshop focused on healthy movement.
The children could engage in a contest consisting of 10 activities, for example walking on stilts, obstacle race or frisbee. They could also attend lessons of street dance, parkour and in-line skating. At the end of the day, they competed in running races.
The programme for graduates consisted of two lectures – Mgr. Marian Dvořák spoke about evaluation in PE classes in elementary school and Mgr. Ivana Klimešová focused on using ropeskipping in PE classes.
Throughout the day, our laboratories offered professional diagnostics and measuring of the body. And for those who got hungry or thirsty, a catering team from Team caffé and Crazy Chef´s food truck was ready to offer a variety of meals and snacks.
We would like to thank all visitors, organisers, volunteers and partners for celebrating this important anniversary with us.
