Popis | Energy expenditure during running varies depending on intensity, duration, frequency of run. The aim this study was compares MET and EE between marathon and middle-distance runners during field running. Five Czech middle-distance runners (20 years, 158cm, 71 kg) a five marathon runners (32 years, 182 cm, 70 kg), participated the study. The measuring was used by telemetric oxygen analyzer on 400m long athletic track. For evaluating the dates, we used a modified Saltin sub maximum test was employed. During the test the runners ran three five-minute sections at the folowing speeds: 12, 14 and 16 km/hod. The finding results indicate lower values MET and EE values in marathon runners indicate that they had better economy of running than middle-distance runners. |
