Popis | The flying bats emit a few types of ultrasound signals: search calla, approach calls and feeding buzzes. Search calla are relatively specific for partional bat genus or even bat species. Search calls are the most relevant for the identification of bats on the basis of their echolocation. Search signals of bats are very variable in relation to habitat type, flight style, geographical region, sex, age etc. They differ in tonal quality, frequencies, loudness and rhythm. |
