The Master's program of Sports Management is a unique study programme combining expert knowledge from two Masaryk University faculties. The Faculty of Sports Studies will provide you with the latest expertise in the field of management, marketing, economics, sociology and sports psychology. The Faculty of Economics and Administration will deepen your knowledge from the areas of economic theory, general management, public administration and its financing, accounting and taxes.

This program aims to expand your theoretical and practical skills from a previous bachelor's degree. You will improve your understanding of the tax system and accounting, marketing of sports events and institutions, sport psychology and coaching and much more. You can use the acquired skills in sports organizations or public institutions and work on improving the conditions for professional and also recreational sports activities.

Information on admission to study

Czech language proficiency certificate

All international applicants (except for Slovaks) must submit a certificate proving their Czech language knowledge at a minimum B2 level. Applicants must upload the certificate in their online application by 31st May.

Certificate of physical education doctor

All applicants must submit a certificate of doctor specialising in physical education. A list of recommended sports medics or doctors in the Czech Republic is available on the Czech Society of Sports Medicine website.

Entrance exams

All applicants will be invited for the entrance exams taking place in Brno, Czech Republic in June.
Applications are evaluated according to the entrance exams results by:

written test (in Czech) including the following topics:

management and marketing in sport
economics of organizations, financial management and public economics
basics of social sciences
theory of physical education and sport
basics of medical-biology sciences

Preparatory courses

Masaryk University Language Centre runs several language courses, including the Czech language for foreigners.
