Secondary School Teacher Training in Physical Education
Programme is taught only in the Czech language!
The Master's program of Secondary School Teacher Training in Physical Education will prepare you for the profession of a qualified physical education teacher. On top of teaching secondary school kids or high school students, you can also organise and evaluate free-time sports activities for youth or other age groups.
The necessary theoretical knowledge from the fields of pedagogy, psychology, biology, and human movement complement the practical skills of didactics, team psychology and various sports disciplines. An important part of the study is a compulsory internship in schools, during which you will have the chance to apply the acquired knowledge and skills directly in the educational process with the assistance of experienced teachers and mentors.

Information on admission to study
Czech language proficiency certificate
All international applicants (except for Slovaks) must submit a certificate proving their Czech language knowledge at a minimum B2 level.
Certificate of physical education doctor
All applicants must submit a certificate of doctor specializing in physical education. A list of recommended sports medics or doctors in the Czech Republic is available on the Czech Society of Sports Medicine website.
Entrance exams
All applicants will be invited for the entrance exams taking place in Brno, Czech Republic in June.
Applications are evaluated according to the entrance exams results by:
written test (in Czech) including the following topics:
basics of social sciences
theory of physical education and sport
basics of biology, human biology and biochemistry
Applicants for a joint study with the Faculty of Education must also undertake written tests related to their chosen minor discipline.
Preparatory courses
Masaryk University Language Centre runs several language courses, including the Czech language for foreigners.
