Recently, a completely new type of hf unipolar/bipolar discharge burning from a hollow electrode at atmospheric pressure in a working gas flowing through the electrode with input hf power from 10 to 500 W was developed. At the same time a plasmachemical device for generation of such discharge called plasma pencil (patent No. CZ 286310) was realised. The preliminary investigation show that the discharge with similar properties can be generated at atmospheric pressure (this is a strongly non-isothermal p lasma) by the plasma pencil powered by various sources (from DC to hf) not only in gaseous medium but also below the liquid level, where the plasma burns in bubbles of flowing gas and in mix of vapours of the liquids.
