| Description | Book chapter informs about the results of a research project-a pilot study focused on the incidence of dependency behavior in a sample of people with physical disabilities. 228 respondents with motor disabilities were approached using an anonymous questionnaire focused on a monitoring substance use. Have been recorded numerous lifetime experience with a variety of substances and with addictive behavior activities. With nicotine and cannabinoids experimented 16% of respondents (less substantial than in the general population), 10 % reported abstinence from alcohol. Mentioned sporadic experiments with opioids, stimulants, hallucinogens, inhalants, dancing drugs. Depressants were used illicitly more often compared to the general population, especially among women. Playing the slot machines try on fifth set, mostly of isolated experiments. Watching television, videos, DVDs and playing computer games most respondents spend 1-3 hours a day, on-line activity 1 hour a day, using cell phone 10-30 minutes a day. The use of addictive substances interviewed brought friends and parents, 16% of respondents reported contact with the dealer. To use habit-forming substances led effort to dampen health problems, curiosity, evoke pleasant feelings. As readily available were marked depressant drugs, cannabis, hallucinogens, inhalants, dancing drugs. |
