Description Capillary electrophoresis with contactless conductivity detection (CCD) is useful combination for an analysis of the polar compounds with no chromophores in the structure. Using conventional UV/Vis spectrophotometric detection, derivatization of the analytes is needed. When CCD is used, derivatization of a sample can be omitted. However, it is a little bit challenging to keep a signal-to-noise ratio in a suitable range for the analytical purposes, when complex buffers are employed. The case is subject of this contribution.
