Description Paper summarizes the current knowledge on superior temporal sulcus (STS) and its role in social cognition, biological movement perception, face perception, speech processing, polymodal integration and detection of rare stimuli. It emphasises its role in social behavior. In conclusion, STS plays role in particular at integrative and associative processing of stimuli, which are potentially behavioraly and socialy relevant.
