| Description | It would be foolish to presume that theory will ever manage to describe precisely how an artistic picture of reality comes to existence – i.e. to analyse in detail the cerebral functions through which the process of creation takes place. It is probable that creation will always be veiled in certain mystery. Neurophysiologic functions of the brain are very complicated. They are a subject matter of medical researches that differentiate between normality and abnormality, monitor the cerebral functions according to exact criteria that can be measured by apparatuses. However these researches say very little, if anything at all, about certain mysteries concerning the functions of the brain that are mirrored in artistic creativity. Some manifestations of the cerebral activity mirrored in the visualization of human imagination can hardly be precisely classified and described in spite of all medical researches. Visual expressions produced by people suffering from dysfunctions of cerebral tissues and organs manifest that the brain contains an inexhaustible amount of visual information and that it is very difficult to precisely analyse all processes that influence this recording. |
