Description The paper deals with various aspects of Juggling as an alternative physical activity within the field of Psychomotricity. Juggling activities and exercises fulfill the psychomotor goals of directing one s personality towards harmonic interconnection of physical, psychical and social aspects. Juggling may influence various skills such as bodily coordination, spatial orientation, rhythmical skills, balance skills or eye-hand coordination, not only in healthy population, but also in persons with specific needs. Our experience shows that juggling is modifiable and adjustable for any specific group, according to the participants age, sex, specific needs, level of motor skills, etc. Withing our up-to-date exploration activities we have learnt that juggling is being used at various institutions dealing with psychomotricity (both as an educational and therapeutic method) and that various research inquiries on juggling and its positive impact on man have been conducted world wide. Therefore, we would like to continue in promoting juggling as a suitable means of psychomotor physical activity, especially from the educational point of view, in relation to the Czech school system background.
