Description This paper focus on area of sex education in the family. The concept of the sex education is understood differently across the EU. There are two points of view - a broader concept and a narrower concept. The current understanding tends to be rather broader as it is more coherent and complex than the narrower concept. I use a broader concept. There are basically three levels: Preparation for a family life, Preparation for a partnership life and Preparation for a sexual life of an individual. To be more specific, I will focus on partial aspects of sex education in the family and I will introduce some interesting results - how mothers perceive sex education, how they explain to fathered of children. The paper is one of the outputs of my dissertation, which deals with sex education in the family in an intergenerational context. The main method of data collection was an unstructured interview with mothers who have at least one child at primary or secondary school. First phase of research shows that mothers perception of sex education relate to their access to sexual act. Mothers dont use sentece: „Children are brought by stork to the world.“ Mothers explain process fathered of children to their children based on a principle of supernatural forces and principle of third actor.
