Description The aim of this study was to evaluate the effect of comprehensive rehabilitation on selfreliance in daily living activities in patients after stroke. Patients consisted of 82 patients, we divided by age into 4 subgroups: 1 subgroup of patients in the age of 60, 2 subset of patients from 60–69 years of age, 3 subset patients from 70 to 79 years of age and 4 subgroup of patients over 80 years. For the classification of self-sustainability we used the FIM test. Testing took place at the beginning and end of hospitalization. The results of the evaluation of patients showed improvement in most items of FIM test in patients of all ages, and it confirmed the need for subsequent comprehensive rehabilitation of these patients, regardless of age.
