Epidemiological studies show that of 30 to 40% of cancer prevention can be prevented with diet, physical activity and maintaining a good body weight. A diet rich in fruits and vegetables reduces the risk of malignancies in the population. The anticarcinogenic protective nutrients in the diet include selenium, folic acid, vitamin E, vitamin B 12, flavonoids, antioxidants such as carotenoids, lycopene, lutein, cryptoxanthin. Ascorbic acid has limited effects when administered orally, but when intravenous administration is beneficial contribution. Consumption of probiotics as part of the effectiveness of the immune system, change the intestinal microflora may interfere with the process of carcinogenesis and it opens up the possibility of dietary modification in the development of cancer.
