| Description | Carvedilol is an betareceptor antagonist drug that has proven therapeutic value when given as adjunctive therapy with diuretics and ACE inhibitors, with or without digoxin, in heart failure. In such patients, it appears to reduce the progression of the disease, as reflected by the combined risk of cardiovascular morbidity or death from cardiovascular causes. |
