Description | The aim of this study was to explore to what extent offline sexual behavior corresponds to sexual behavior on the Internet among seventeen years old Czechs. The adolescents (237 girls and 225 boys) filled out a computer-administered questionnaire which examined sexual behavior in offline life and sex-related activities on the Internet. Individuals who reported any offline sexual experience tended to engage in sexually related activities more than inexperienced ones. The use of the Internet for sexual reasons was similar for those who experienced kissing and petting, and also for those who experienced oral sex and sexual intercourse, as the use suddenly increases between both groups. Findings suggest that the level of acquired offline sexual experience affects the way of the Internet use for sexual reasons in adolescence. |
