Description | Analytical methods based on interaction of laser beam with sample surface, as e.g. Laser-Induced Breakdown Spectrometry (LIBS) and Laser Ablation Inductively Coupled Plasma Mass Spectrometry (LA-ICP-MS) enable qualitative and semiquantitative analysis of samples with various type of matrices. Due to high spatial resolution of both methods, it is possible to use them among others also for elemental mapping in archaeological samples with hydroxyapatite matrix (teeth, bone). |
