Description A case study presents the use of peer teaching and learning in the study programme Natural science teaching for primary school at the Faculty of Education, Masaryk university, Brno. Quantitative research was focused on the teaching efectiveness of an integrated educational programme, which was used as a model of learning from experience by the method of an experiment. Integrated educational programmes are targeted at health education as models of learning from experience as part of education for sustainability at the Department’s of biology workplace Kejbaly. This field centre enables the integration of an alternative pedagogical practice into technical didactic subjects. Peer teaching is experimentally used in the teaching of cultivation. It seem that thus is created an environment, in which students assume more responsibility for their own learning and selfreflection.
