Description | : The ratio of early diastolic transmitral flow velocity (E) to early diastolic mitral annular velocity (Ea) is standardly used to predict the increase in left ventricular filling pressure (LVFP). The aim of this study was to validate new echocardiographic indexes utilizing strain and strain rate (SR) in predicting an increase in LVFP.As compared to E/Ea ratio, several 2D-STE-derived parameters appear to have greater potential for the noninvasive prediction of an increase in LVFP in patients with IDC. |
