Description Number of traffic accidents in the territory of Europe is still growing. It is associated with large material losses, often permanent damage to health and the loss of lives of road users. The World Health Organization says that more than 80 % of traffic accidents are caused by inappropriate human behavior in the transport system. The European Commission urged EU Member States to reduce the number of people killed in traffic accidents by half / compared with 2001, when they killed more than 50,000 people / till 2010. The new Road traffic law No. 8/2009 Collection of Laws came to force in Slovak Republic. It replaced the Road traffic act No. 315/1996 Collection of Laws.
