Description | The author points at the instrumental function of environmental education in creating and enhancing the qualities promoting health. The starting point is that being a cultural promoter of health and the environment is a basic competence of a person, associated with the orientation in the existing mutually causal, spontaneously applied relationships in the environment, which influences the quality of environmental and thus also health preservation. Based on this function a person is able to evaluate, consider the risks and advantages and act accordingly, and also accept responsibility for the consequences of ones conduct as regards the environment. Based on the theoretical assumptions, own educational and research activities preliminary results of investigations are presented, which can contribute to the transformation of the undergraduate primary teacher training curriculum. |
