Description METHODS:Twenty two male ice hockey players with different sport performance level were recruited for this study, with 3 p layed NHL, 5 played AHL(Amateur Hockey Leauge) and the rest played in SNL (Slovak National Leauge,n=14).Their heart rates were monitored with the device Suunto Team Pack,which consists of sophisticated heart rate recorder and wireless transmitter.Specifically,the players went through a 60-min circuit training lesson consisting of 6 setsper series and a total of 3 series.Following exercises were included in each series:Set 1-one legvertical steps on a 0.8m high floor;Set 2-sit ups on 45 degrees declined bench with 10kg barbell;Set 3-180 degrees turns with15kg barbell;Set 4-boxing bag(25kg) lifting from floor up to standing position;Set 5- balancing on the balance board and mixing puck in front of the body without eye control;and finally Set 6-hockey shooting with the aim to hit all 4 goal corners-15 attempts.The goalof the monitoring was to achieve working load at 170bpm and increase following each set and series.
