Description	New rRNA-targeting oligonucleotide probes permitted the fluorescence in situ hybridization (FISH) identification of freshwater fungi in an Austrian alpine stream. Based on komputer-assisted komparative semence analysis, nine taxon-specific probes were designed and evaluated.
