Description | This study, based on a morphometric approach for identification of the nematode parasite Parapharyngodon micipsae (Seurat 1917), reports the first record of P. micipsae in a West African species of gecko, Tarentola parvicarinata Joger 1980 (Gekkonidae), collected in the Niokolo Koba National Park, Senegal. Specimens of P. micipsae were examined under a light microscope and for the first time with a scanning electron microscope. |
