Description | As soon as the Czech Republic entered the EU, it took part in the system of supporting innovation enterprise from the structural funds. In programming period 2004-2006 the Innovation programme and the Prosperity programme were launched within the Operational Programme Industry and Enterprise framework. These programmes continue in a modified form within the Operational Programme Industry and Enterprise framework also in the current programming period 2007-2013; moreover, there is a new programme: the Potential programme. The most significant of the mentioned programmes is the Innovation programme. Many innovation projects have been supported within its framework. This paper presents an analysis of the programme results, in the form of midterm and final assessment of the period of 2004-2006 and midterm assessment of the period of 2007-2013. Most attention is given to the regional distribution of the supported projects, both from the point of view of their number and also from the point of view of the total amount of the support granted. An inseparable part of the assessment carried out is the examination of the relationship between the Innovation programme results and the level of the region's development. The analyses have shown a relatively strong relationship between the regions successfulness in obtaining projects and the values of macroeconomic aggregates describing economic efficiency. |
