| Description | This paper aims to provide a comprehensive overview of the main theoretical concepts dealing with the linkages between economic growth and external debt from the perspective of the least developed countries. In the first part of the paper, debt overhang theory and the concept of debt Laffer curve is introduced. Subsequently, pros and cons of the practical use of these theoretical considerations are identified, especially in the context of the decision-making process of international lenders and creditors. |
