Description This article focuses on first grade pupils with impaired communication abilities. The text is an analysis of this topic for an upcoming research in impaired communication ability and occurence of hearing impairment in primary school pupils. The research builds on results of research in communication competences of pre-school children in kindergardens in South Moravian Region. This research also includes an evaluation of competences of preschool teachers for work with pre-school children with impaired communication ability.
