Description The aim of this study was to analyze the eosinophil peroxidase gene (EPO) coding a cationic protein released from the specific granules of activated eosinophils. We attempted to locate the polymorphisms in the EPO gene typical for the Czech population and to analyse their association to allergic diseases and related phenotypes.
