• Description: Both experimental and clinical studies are continuously bringing data suggesting a decreased activity of not only serotonergic and adrenergic but also of dopaminergic brain functioning. This corresponds well with successful therapy of depression with drugs acting either as agonists at postsynaptic dopamine receptors or inhibitors of dopamine reuptake.
