| Description | This paper deals with estimation of the potential output using production approach. This approach relates to supply side of the economy. Its advantage lies in fact that it allows us to analyze each factor that determines growth rate of potential output, i.e. capital, labor and total factor productivity. Other methods to estimation of potential output are discussed as well. Comparison of alternative approaches is illustrated on estimation of output gap. |
