One of the ways of dealing with these changes is associating into European-level federations of interest groups. The aim of this article is an analyses of possible advantages and opportunities which European federations of economic groups (that is trade unions and employers groups) offer to their members. First, the advantages of joining a European federation (Eurogroup) in general will be discussed. Second, the specifics of economic organization, especially in relation to their role of European social partners will be discussed. Special attention will be paid to the role and positions of interest groups from the new member countries from Central and Eastern Europe.
