Description The compatriots clubs had already after the first large emigration billow from Czech countries in 19th century exceptional meaning for emigrants abroad. They recalled an old country, made connection with previous home, they were used as place for meetings, where to realize itself, where to spend free time. Although lot of them have ceased since that time, there also arose new ones and they have importance for Czech emigrants and their off springs till yet as well. They gratify a need of meeting people in community, they answered question of ethnic self-determination, and they have a cultural and educational sense and not at last also free time function.
