Description In the paper from the filed of physiology of strain the authors present Alpine skiing disciplines as sports activities, demanding on the hypoxic changes adaptation, motor, visual and aural analysators adaptation as well as on muscle tonus changes. From the point of view of stimulation and motor competences development as well as skiing skills development, it is necessary to accept considerably variable conditions in which the skier performs different technique of downhill skiing and curving. From the psychological point of view Alpine skiing is one of risky sports, requiring high level of nerve-muscle coordination, quick and adequate decision making, overcoming of fear and the skill of risk taking.
