Description The electrochemical quartz crystal microbalance (EQCM) allows real-time measurements of electrochemically induced mass changes at electrode surfaces. The EQCM has been demonstrated to be valuable for studying the electropolymerization process of chlorinated monochlorophenols. The mass changes reflect the extent of surface passivation. Coupling QCM and voltammetric data offers complementary information on the deactivation process.
