Description	The aim of the contribution is to present the innovation issue in space and time perspectives. Authors draw attention to topics that are currently discussed within the research of innovation. Firstly the contribution briefly covers the terminology which is followed by the bibliographic search concerning the innovation issue in space and time perspectives. Further part introduces some historical approaches to innovation issue and the final part depicts those topics that authors would like to deal with in their further studies.
